Dekley D10 5 X 8
SN#102-0031
I bought this from another Forum member about five or six years back
(I think), he said he was selling it for a widow, and his impression was
that it had been kept in the house, and then not played for many years.
I never got around to setting it up until recently. Everything electronic works,
cosmetically it's in very good condition (some very small nicks on some of the
metal and some paint wear on one of the knee levers).
I think the only thing it needs is replacing some of the plastic hex tuning pegs
(couldn't get a grip on a couple with a tuning wrench, but the others were o.k.).
The fret boards show some wear at the edges (blow up the pictures for a better look)
and I think one was re-glued near the nut on the E9 neck, but that's just a guess.
That's all that all I can find wrong with it. All I've done is wipe it down and
change the strings, and test everything else.
The case is in great shape, with maybe some slight rust near the handle.
Case has the keys and a set of hex (L) wrenches.
I'll take more pictures if I have to.
The following is me comparing this to a "standard E9/C6" chart:
Tuning is E9/C6, the E9 neck doesn't have the 9th string lower,
but everything else is standard Emmons E9, but up lever does not lower 5 and 10.
The C6 neck:
P4 raises the 4th string but not the 8th
P5 raises the 8th
P6 raises the 2nd
P7 raises the 4th and 5th
P8 lowers the 9th and 10th, doesn't raise the 7th
LKL lowers the 3rd, doesn't raise the 4th,
LKR lowers the 1st.
I can ship this, but would rather sell it where it is. If I ship, it will be by Fed-Ex,
and I'll pay half shipping and insurance.
Would rather get telephone calls, (301-559-1646)
but I'll answer what I can via email/pm.
Am not offended by reasonable offers, as long
as they're by phone, pm, etc.
Thanks,
Steve

What's up with the rod sitting above the fifth string raise? Is that for a split? |
