After much debate and with myself of course, I decided Friday to make a deal on the D-10 guitar that Fred Justice built for Weldon Myrick. My wife and I then went to Nashville over the weekend and picked it up. That was a 1500 mile adventure but well worth the effort.

After a couple of nights converting the pedals and knees to an Emmons setup, it is ready to go. This guitar is incredible!!! Not only does it play and sound terrific, it is a real looker although the picture is not the best. When you hear about how good Justice guitars are, I can assure you those comments are not exaggerated

I told Fred when I made the deal that it was going to be played so it is going to a gig on Friday night. And I'm hoping there is some of Weldon's magic imprinted on this guitar that might help me be a better player. Either way, I am proud to own it.

Congrats, Jeff!

That is a magnificent instrument that Fred built, and it's great to know it is being played. Weldon's name on it, right there is a conversation starter. Keep the buzz going, everything is connected, everything ripples. May you play it long and well.

Nah, would have been like starting over. Never done well with the Day pedal setup The knees with the C# on the second string would have been even more challenging.

Hey Dick, yeah I guess that was part of it. Pictures of your guitar and this one actually helped me decide to order a Pro Lite for myself. I had planned to have Fred build me a D10 down the road assuming I would really like the Pro Lite, but kept getting drawn back to this guitar.

Funny how things work out, worked out the the purchase details with Weldon's wife on his birthday.

Thanks Jason, It sounds as good as it looks. I played out Friday night and my bandmates were blown away at how it sounded.
