Just got the new CD and love it. I've been a big Beach Boy fan, and especially Brian's solo work.
Would love to know what songs you played on the record, I have my hunches as I have been a fan of your playing for a long time, especially Crusaders stuff and others from that era.
I'm glad that Brian is still creating music, will be seeing him this May here in New Jersey.
Glad to see that you were on the record! _________________ Regards, Craig

There are two song clips on Joachim's link that are interesting; the second, On The Island, sounds like
the band with Bruce Johnston; The Right Time was covered by Johnston on his album.
It's very nice to hear these; it's easy to believe they're still the Beach Boys and I love it.
(I think Pet Sounds would have been my favorite, but for Carl and the Passions.) _________________ Those that say don't know; those that know don't say.--Buddy Emmons |

The Right Time and On The Island are brand new releases on this new Brian Wilson album, and haven't been covered by anyone else up to this point.
great to see Blondie Chaplin working with Brian again, and of course Al Jardine and Dave Marks. this could have been another Beach Boys album, but Mike Love didn't get his needs met and put an end to a great reunion in 2012 (unfortunately Mike owns the exclusive license to tour under The Beach Boys moniker.)
still, Brian is better off without Love and Johnston, who would rather include John Stamos in the band's current lineup over founding members and the group's very heart & soul.
pity. _________________ 1965 Emmons S-10, 3x5 • Emmons LLIII D-10, 10x12 • JCH D-10, 10x12 • Beard MA-8 • Oahu Tonemaster |
