evidently a huge amount of harm was done because i tried to make a cute joke referring to fred's pictures of clamps on the build for larry lenhart's new justice steel. i hold fred in high esteem as a quality builder. his steels are beautiful.
the picture of the clamps just made me think of the many fun-loving clampers i have met and played for over the years. i thought it was a cute joke.
i apologize for any damage done to fred or larry, though i don't really understand why that is.
b0b has reprimanded me , as many were offended by this feeble attempt at humor (i don't know who was offended or why since the thread was deleted), and asked that i refrain from any further snarky comments about anything, i suppose. so i will honor this censorship on my natural tendency to entertain, to the best of my abilty.
i respect b0b and this forum very highly and don't want to jeopardize it's worth.
so be it!
sorry once again to larry and fred as no implication of any relationship by them to the clampers was intended.

b0b has since informed me that 'clamper' refers to a part of the female anatomy. in my 66 years of existence, i had never heard that reference.
i apologize if someone thinks i was calling them a 'piece of the female anatomy', because i was never aware of that. my sincere apology!

i was referring to the ever fun loving e clampus vitus clampers who wear red shirts and black vests and hats and frequent places like the bucket of blood saloon in virginia city, nevada.

.....and it was only a humorous reference inspired by the large amount of clamps in the picture of the fred justice steel being built for larry lenhart.
so sorry to have offended anyone

Ditto here Chris, and I thought I'd heard every analogy for male and female anatomy ever uttered. Apparently I stand corrected.FWIW I always make a point to read your posts Chris I guess we're both wierd...Stormy Winking

I'll add my 64 years of crude talk experience: I've never heard the word "clamper" to refer to any piece of anatomy, male or female. And I know from his many posts that chris doesn't have to stoop to that kind of humor to get his point(s) across.

Sarcastic, opinionated, brutally honest, quick to call BS, sometimes off base - sure, I can see where he might be irritating at times. But snarky or mean-spirited? I don't think so. As someone said in another thread, chris is often the one to come out and say what a lot of people are thinking.

I've heard of E Clampus Vitas, but I don't know much about it/them. I've never heard the reference to a body part.

Cut Chris some slack. This isn't worth crucifying him.
