Short back story: I recently suffered a significant financial setback. I was forced to liquidate as many of my assets as I could to avoid prolonged austerity. This happens sometimes. As a result I sold almost everything I owned as far as musical equipment. I recently quit a regular PSG gig so...
Anyway I was able to save one small amp and enough money to buy a Rukavina 8 string.
What a guitar. Ryan makes really nice instruments and I suugest if you are in the market for a lap steel look at Ryan's instruments. |

Coming from you Johnie, that is a compliment of the highest order. I know he has seen some of your recent designs (I made him look!) and it is cool to hear two from two builders that the appreciation is mutual, and all around.
Ryan also winds his own pickups, and gets a great 'stringmaster style' sound in my opinion.
Recently tried a two-pickup lap steel for the first time in his shop, and was impressed. |
