Tim, I'm a non-pedal tweed sorta guy. I've been happy with the Legend in my home built Tweed Pro. It was a little harsh at first, but once it broke in (I perceived it happen during a gig!) it's been great. It's very loud, like 102-103db. I also tried a Weber C15N type and a real vintage Jensen P15N and I've liked the Emi the best. I'll try that Jensen again, though. _________________ "The Masher of Touch and Tone"

Thanks for the feedback Jim. I play a 1958 fender 1000 so I am a semi-pedal sort of guy. I like the vintage tones, too. I looked at the FR chart and the Legend has a broad peak between 2 and 3k where it runs between 107 and 110 db. Do you find it's a very bright speaker? |

It is pretty bright, but not overwhelmingly so (to me). It's kind of a broad peak between 2k and 3k. I think the Big Ben is likely a little darker. My Clinesmith lap steel is what I primarily play it with and it's a little darker than Fenders, so it sort of washes for me. Plus, the low end is so big that it seems balanced.
Anyway, it's working for me and it's hard to beat the price! _________________ "The Masher of Touch and Tone"
