So happy for you.. I want to let you know the type of people you are dealing with.. as I was told they would sell it to me, and I was in the middle of driving down (3 hours from Orlando to Pompano) when they called and said they "got a better offer"

Interesting.. hope no one calls after you with a better one, you may find it winging somewhere else.

In case you do get it, Bill no longer makes any of the parts for the circa 1980 guitar(roller and keyless tuner) you will need for the c6 neck, and said it will be pretty costly to resurrect. Maybe an E9?

Good luck

I'm happy I didn't purchase it, a female went in and bought before I called.

Nicholas.. probably a good thing.. They told me she offered $1K for it.. which will make it not such a good deal.. (at least your drive would have been a little shorter hehe)

Guess I remember why I never go into pawn shops Smile

Right and she might convert it to a SD10, but I saw a Carter S10 3x5 in Vegas at a pawn shop for $800, but they wont ship it.

No work done, but they bumped the price up by $900 and whoever buys it will still have to spend a lot on trying to get it fixed.

Looks like that lady outsmarted herself!

If repair would be so expensive (as some here allege), she'd probably be best off parting it out.

Looks like this is now on ebay starting out at $999.99.

Just a few hours left for the deal of a lifetime. Or not.

I talked to Bill at Williams and he does not have any of those parts available.. It is one of his really early models. He said it would probably cost more than it was worth to restore it.. but could be made into a single neck..

i'm surprised he would say that. it looks like it only needs the ten tuner screws and block thingies and one pedal rod to get back working.

but anyway, it sold for a grand.
a hunnert bucks was better.

this is a good buy for someone with a shop and some free time to work on it, if I had a shop I would have bought it, take off the mica and have it refinished in lacquer, polish and clean up changers and all the mechanics, and upgraded it with GFI keyless keyhead, it would be a $2500 guitar... easy
