Anyone have any idea of the age of this Dobro by Valco Manufacturing Co. bullet bar? I had not seen one before I found two on Ebay recently.

The first reference I can find is in the 1948 Supro catalog, where it's listed for $1. The last reference I can find is in the 1964 National catalog, which list it at $25 for a dozen. It's not listed in catalogs after that year, but I'm willing to bet they kept making them until Valco went bankrupt in 1968. |

So given depreciation I should offer the OP what, about $.75 a piece for them? |

Except according to the Bureau of Labor inflation calculator, $25 per dozen or $2.09 each in 1964 translates to $15.82 each in 2015. _________________ Mark |
