We have a 10 string Head Stock Router Template for DIY Folks

To make a 10 Model is a greater consideration as these are all CAD - CNC creations. The Up Front Programming and Proto Costs are a major factor.

I can do it , but most folks are looking for a Deal, not to invest into a Brand Name Model.

Lettuce Know if you have realistic Money to invest into a custom model and We can Talk More.

I'm mostly looking for a body for my guitar builder friend to work from. I'm a designer myself. How much would it be for you to just cut something if I do all the modeling and such for you?

The CNC Cutter runs 150.00 per hour. Cutters are 50.00 each - only need one.

$150.00 per hour to program some thing.

It always takes 2- 4 hours if not more to translate any drawing file into our CAD,
and to set all of the tool paths - depth of cut - clean up passes and many more considerations.

You would want to run one or 2 in Foam before risking any wood.
Then run at least 2 -4 in poplar wood before risking any expensive wood like Mahogany or Walnut.
Maple is very hard and takes twice the time - as we must slow all of the travel speeds to reduce cutter burn - and it eats up a cutter per piece.
Poplar wood a cutter will last 5 - 8 pieces before getting too dull.

For Example the Consoles in this thread take 30 minutes to set the machine - 50 minutes to run then they need to be trimmed out on a band saw and trace routered to clean up the bottom 1/4 " about another 30 minutes. total time 110 minutes @ $2.50 per minute.

This is for a proved program we have done all of the successful's - oppsies and do overs more than 100 times.

I can make you a 1/4 plexiglass trace router template from a line drawing in Corel 12 for around 200.00 dollars for the 1st one and around 100 dollars for each additional in the same production run. This is a much more monetary efficient means for some one wanting to make 1 or 2 pieces.

I put in a lot of time over the Easter Weekend, to make this Kit closer to a completed Instrument. The Photos are in the Above Original Post.

I've Sanded and applied Zpoxy several times to Seal the Grain , and prepare these bodies for Mirror Finishes with Clear Lacquer,
only a light hand sanding of 320 - 400 grit will make them ready for your spray booth.

The Nuts now have VGrooves -- 11/32 spacing, Graduated depths with a lot more hand sanding
with 800 - 1500 - wet and dry making them ready for nickel plate or strings as you choose.

Jump Quick to get this Double Neck at the lowest price of the Year - Soon It will go up a some more as each labor is completed.

Very Happy

Photos here too.
