I'm the steel player on this new release by Tandem Felix. Played on the E9th neck of my Carter D-10, through a Line 6 Pod XT (no amp).
The second song "Ryan Hoguet" doesn't have steel.
I never met these folks. They sent me their tracks via email and I recorded my parts in my home studio. I didn't even know they were from Dublin.

I'd take it as an honor that these folks picked you to add to their kind of lush sound, and your track does so.
It's a nice contrast with 'Moon Tingles' and 'Mandarin,' more 'conventional' figures. You added a lot, never too much.
Really nice tone on those figures. Beautiful, b0b.

Music production is the art of removing what doesn't belong. They removed a lot of what I played. I wasn't nearly so tasteful as the finished tracks imply.
In an interview, bandleader David Tapley said this about me:

Nothing like an old school West Coast steeler to calm the angst of youth once you get past the smell of diesel fuel.

"West Coast Diesel Fumes" would be a good band name. |
