So I could ascertain the source that prompted Dennis to ask the question in the first place. |

It was presumptive of me to ask. Don't know what prompted me to.
I did some searches and didn't come up with anything.
I'll just bump this in case somebody knows.
Always nice to bump into you, Barry.
Love your avatar.
While we wait, Dennis, here's some Pacific Steel Company.

Likewise, Charlie. I searched as well with no results. Maybe Dennis can clear this up. Dennis? |

I read on a Telecaster Forum a couple of days back that Paul Martin has left to concentrate on another project. He's been replaced by Chris Scruggs. |

Thanks Barry for the link.
Reading the Tele forum confirms that there is a lot of dissimilar opinions on other forums besides this one. That makes me feel good
I just bought the last two Marty S. CDs and Kenny's solo recording, they are all fantastic, the only other that I have is Ghost Train, which is great.
Good luck to Paul, hopefully he continues to post and tell us of his future work! _________________ Regards, Craig

I'll miss Paul, but Chris is a perfect choice to replace him! |

Hello, all. Yes, after eight years with the Fabulous Supeelatives, Paul left the band on completely good terms so that he could focus on his family band. I am in fact the new bassist in the band (and some steel a few other things, too). As to the crazy tdpri thread, the guy (going by the name Toto'sDad) making wild accusations concerning me is a total stranger and I've never met him in my life. I think he has just watched the Marty Stuart TV show to the point that he is creating negative, behind the scenes story lines that are delusional and entirely unfounded. |

I read Toto'sDad, who was negative about both bass players, coming and going. He must be great.
It makes me glad that folks use actual names here, Chris,
and are happy to see you and others succeed. _________________ Those that say don't know; those that know don't say.--Buddy Emmons |

Hey Charlie! Thanks for the Pacific Steel link! I thought I had that album but have "Suite Steel" instead.
Hey Chris, best wishes to you on your new gig with MS & the FS! I hope to see you guys if and when you play somewhere near eastern Pennsylvania |

Congratulations Chris. I'm sure you'll be a success in this role as you are in everything you turn your hand to. _________________ LeGrande II, Nash. 112, Fender Twin Tone Master, Session 400, Harlow Dobro, R.Q.Jones Dobro |

Yes, congratulations Chris. Pretty juvenile comments on that other forum. It will be interesting watching you in the band. You are a great innovative player with lots of style. The real deal. I always enjoy seeing you play no matter what spot you are in. Great front man also. Good luck in the new spot. |

Chris, I saw you guys at the Ryman last night and you totally rocked. One of the best shows I've ever seen, and I'm looking forward to next year's Late Nite Jam. Marty's selection of guests was spot-on; highlights for me were Emi Sunshine (the Hillbilly Janis Joplin) and the whole Orthophonic Joy crew. I really loved "Chris Scruggs Boogie" -- I hope that's part of your regular set. Could have done without the Eric Church/Little Big Town segment (although it seemed to have brought out a lot of fans), but that's just me.
BTW, will the Superlatives be with Marty at Eddies Attic in Decatur in August? Looking forward to that show.
Glad Paul is getting to spend more time with his lovely family, and looking forward to seeing you with the Superlatives for many years to come. You guys keep the flame burning brightly. |
