For those of you in the International Hawaiian Steel Guitar Association and gospel music circle, you may remember Vern Eide who was an active member along with my Aunt Alice. He's the one responsible for getting me into steel guitar and both played a number of instruments in that circle. My Uncle Vern was 98 and went home March 11, 2015.

Yes I remember both Vern and Alice from many years ago (conventions at Winchester). I seem to recall Alice played the vibes...? Both were very friendly and lovely people to know. Vern lived a very long life. My condolences.

George you have a good memory! Alice played vibes & marimba, piano/organ, accordion and uke. Thanks for your thoughts, the memorial service was nice.
