This FryPan-6 which I just completed (3/15/2015), has curly maple wood for the back plate and fretboard, and I also made the six string pickup from the same wood. As requested of me by the musician I made it for, I put a cover over the pickup for him to use as a rest plate for his wrist. The pickup is wound to just over 8K resistance. The scale is 22.5. I tuned this low to open E, and just re-tuned to G6.

Note the volume/tone both on opposite side of player. Knobs made of brass.

Very impressive - I like the contrast between the metal and the wood elements.
