Tommy White said he tried different pick ups on his Mullen until he got the right ones. Anyone know what they are? If not, maybe Tommy will let us know.

CB,
I've always liked the sound of Mullen's stock single coil pick ups the best and still do today. However, back 20 years, the television studio we were working in used mics that sounded thin and brittle, then, engineers added in tons of compression, making the sound even more skinny and bright. To compensate, I began the pick up search, landing on George L 10-1 pickups. They really helped. These days, I use Mullen stock pickups in my G2 guitars and have re-issue Lawrence 705 s in my Royal Precision for venues/studios I suspect will be noisy.
