Hey Leo... That's Brian "Lonbeck" and Martha Lou's husband was "Carlys" Kreuger...
Do you remember the lady bass player I was married to in the sixties (my 2nd wife)...? Her name was Marie Laswell and she was 15 years older than me but had a nice figure and pretty hot all around... Anyway, I played lead guitar for Martha Lou and Marie played bass for her. We were doing the military base circuit at the same time John & Sharon Leighton were. John & Sharon had Ray Williams on lead and Joe Solo on drums... I actually introduced Carlys to Martha Lou as he was a friend of mine and came to some of our gigs... He liked "full figured" women and they immediately hit it off... Martha Lou's daughter is one of my Facebook friends and I hear from her occasionally..
Do you remember a drummer named "Dusty" Johnson. He was our drummer in the Martha Lou band. He always had this ice pick and a hammer in his trap case and wherever we'd play, even if it was a nice hardwood bandstand, he'd drive that ice pick right into the floor in front of his bass drum so it wouldn't move... I always thought someone was going to get on him about that but they never did. Also at that time we did a couple of private parties for Cal Worthington as he liked Martha Lou a lot and she used to appear on Cal's Corral a bit. She even drove a Dodge that was on loan to her from Cal..........JH in Va. _________________ Don't matter who's in Austin (or anywhere else) Ralph Mooney is still the king!!! |

Good stories, I even believe them. Bass playing wife is fairly hot. _________________ Those that say don't know; those that know don't say.--Buddy Emmons |

Leo, your referring to Dusty as a "biker" reminded me of something. Did you ever see Dusty's chopper? He had a pretty nice one and he was a pretty small guy but he had a wife named "Marge" who was a head and a half taller than him and weighed a few hundred pounds as well as having a butt that was a couple of axe handles wide... Anyway, it was a real site to see Dusty crusin' the boulevard with ol' Marge on the back of his chopper but he had her trained for sure. When they'd come to a stoplight, Dusty would just keep his feet on the pegs and Marge would drop hers to the ground to balance the bike. There's no way he could have held it up with her on the back... I also remember when he blew the engine on his "Harley" chopper and replaced it with a Honda motor. He caught a lot of flak about that from his biker buddies..........JH in Va. _________________ Don't matter who's in Austin (or anywhere else) Ralph Mooney is still the king!!! |
