I have an early church gig in the morning. As I was practicing tonight, the 4th string wont return to pitch after using the D lever. Hitting the C pedal will bring it back to pitch. My instructor oiled it for me a while back and I haven't gotten around to getting any. Any ideas?

If it has adjustable return springs, tighten that one up a turn or two. If not, try swapping the spring with one from a string that doesn't lower.

Thank for the help.

A friend call me up and told me to get some M pro 7 gun oil. I oiled the finger and it working fine.

BTW- I was told early on not to oil the steel all the time because it would gunk everything up. I followed that advice and hadn't had any problems until now... I think I'll order some oil!

I recommend you get a pin oiler with some Teflon in the oil.
Doesn't gum up like raw oil.
