A woman here in NY state recently bought an old Epiphone lap steel.. She wants it on a stand with adjustable legs.. I have told her that I am not a lap steel guy, but would research it for her.. Is anything available for someone wanting to put a lap steel guitar on a stand with adjustable legs???..bob _________________ I'm over the hill and hittin'rocks on the way down!

On the high end of things, it's impossible to beat the deluxe 34 stands. Down a notch, a lot of people use the "x-brace" keyboard stands. And down to my price range:
$5-$15 at a Salvation Army near you...
I actually have the official stand that's made for my MSA Superslide, but it wobbles like a drunk in an earthquake - my walker works best! Plus, I always know where my walker is. |

I bought the same thing John bought and it works very well. I double sticky taped some of that rubbery black non-skid shelf liner on it and it is solid. You even have room to put a cup of coffee nearby on it. I bought it because It will support my double neck guitars as well.

I'm thinking about using it for my Dobro too. _________________ "it's not in bad taste, if it's funny." - john waters |

John I have put mine on it and it works fine but I need to figure some kind of attachment that's easy and nice looking to support the neck.
let me know if it works for you and what you might use for a support.

I tried a bunch of low-budget solutions, but I sprung for a deluxe34 stand and have zero regrets. It's a great stable design, well-machined. I play sitting, so I went with the 3-legged version. I might have chosen the 4-legged model if I played standing. _________________ "The Masher of Touch and Tone"
