what is the bows pedal used for? Maybe incorrect spelling. I have one on my C6 neck. Thanks Bob

It turns it from C6 to A7.
With the A/E/A on the bottom three strings, you can get all baritone guitar on it, like on this one

90% of the Steelers who play Night Life use it in the drop from D to B, letting 10 swoop down.

one of the reasons I "need" a U-12 or D-10 it's fun for rock N roll and Southern rock tunes.

Mickey Adams has a YouTube video featuring the great Buzz Evans playing Somewhere Over The Rainbow and Buzz uses that pedal a lot in the song very tasteful and very beautifully arranged by Buzz

Piggy backing on what Lane replied......using deep strings

Play root chord at Open position with Boo Wah pedal engaged (typically 8th pedal for C6th neck)

At same fret, come off boo-wah and engage 5th pedal for the 4 chord

Keeping 5th pedal engaged, go up two frets and there's your 5 chord.
