Take it on faith and go to the end of Legion Drive, a tiny road off of FM 78 in Converse. It dead ends at American Legion Post 593.

Inside the post’s Marty Frank Memorial Hall, a handful of steel guitarists and a makeshift six-man country band get together on the first Sunday of every month and take lucky visitors back in time with the lonely whine of their pedal steel guitars and fiddles.
