Hey Leo, since you started out with Patsy, how 'bout her daughter Judy Rose? We both have played for her at the old Swizzle Stik... Then back a little further there's Princess Ramona, Dortha Wright, Gee Nee Sterling (Mrs. Bobby Bare), Sue Smart (wife of Dale), Jonie Mosby (wife of Johnny), Joanne Rinard. Also, how 'bout Jae Judy Kay? What a voice and one of the best looking ladies out there. Then you have Pat Evans, Barbie Mathews and more I can't think of right now...JH in Va.

You got it right again, Jerry. Educating this new world of who really pave the way for us before and the after of how we all cross dressed our music talents that is only be credited to a hand full of mouth wash tightrope trading History for their good and not the good of all. How many #1 Steel Guitar players dose it take to be a #1 over and over. WE are all #1,but,to respect it's Honor should cover a one time thing. How about they put a Big Check behind it with an Award and you would see a you know what GAME. Just like Football. What Happen to we the brotherhood of Musicians. Boy, that's a good way to put it.

Speaking of, I understand you used to play with Nudie, or did you wear his clothes?
Saw him at the Palomino once. He didn't know me.

Gaining Altitude of making news in Traditional Country Music History media is working which thousands of musicians who are catching on. But,you need to go to Gene Breedens Studio in Nashville to get that Bakersfield Sound that us old dogs out here in Southern California gave in all them old records for the new to learn. Winking

I just now read a post by Susan Raye Wiggens with the sad news that her grand daughter died at birth. She thanked God for the few moments she lived and for the love expressed by their entire family.

Please pray for the Wiggens Family in this sad time.

Hi Leo.... Greetings from a Bakersfield native son. I'm 68 and grew up with the music known as the Bakersfield Sound. If I had to pick one person most responsible, I couldn't. There are three that stand out to me though....Bill Woods, Wynn Stewart. and Ralph Mooney. Hag as much said so about Woods years ago. Wynn preceded Buck and Hag and both placed him right at the top. Mooney said Wynn was the best singer he ever played with/for...and that says a lot when we consider Buck , Hag and Waylon in that group. Mooney's Fender licks especially on Wynn's and Buck's records are the best in my opinion. He was an innovator and played with such passion. It's a shame that Wynn and Mooney aren't in the CMHOF. I don't mean to diminish the major contributions of all the others...and you more than anyone knows who they are. That's my two cents worth. I enjoy all your posts on this Forum. Thanks.

Thanks you Gary. I just want to get the History of our backyard neighborhood of Traditional Country Music By The Academy Of Country Music board of powers and what Dick Clark Productions brought from us as Musicians/songwriters and so on in the right order of respect that should be honored and on it's wall - Museum that we gave them or,did they steal from us? Union or not union. The every day common folks of neighborhood musicians created this music & this History of life like myself alone with them. Nashville,TNN. is the off sprig of what we gave them also. God Bless you and us all. Uncle Leo J Eiffert Jr the " God Father Of Southern California Music " and the " Icon Super Star ". Winking

Thanks once again Gary for your kind words.I've lived this life thanks to so many great Traditional Country Music folks who believed in me as a young man and gave me the oral opportunity in giving me wisdom to education about our Art. At 69 years old and holding my own in to days world of our Country Traditional music it is a hard fight with club owners to understand it let alone getting booking agents to book me or us,because of age. Thanks to late mr.Gene Autry we have Billy Mize & Cliff Crofford life with a new movie DVD for the film festivals. Uncle Leo J Eiffert Jr. Winking

Leo,

I can't wait for the DVD. I hope one day someone with a bank of knowledge and memories will write a book solely about the great side and session musicians that made Southern California country music and the Bakersfield Sound famous. They don't receive nearly enough recognition, in my opinion.

Gary, most won't get our History right because some Kentucky boy who took it all to Nashville in his name, Dwight Yoakam. He (Dwight) came around about the yearly 80's and we gave him open arms just like my late friend Les Walker who gave him (Dwight) a ride after opening for Merle Haggard in Los Angeles because his Kentucky expired drivers license. So,he (Dwight) can't be our leader in this History Of Southern California Musicians/songwriters that the California Country Music Association made him (Dwight) who he Has become in the first place and than the Academy of Country Music picked him up off of. when,my late Buck Owens enterprises got behind his & the late Minnie Pearl Dwight Yoakam became this house hold Country music star. Billy & Cliff,Buck and many more created this Bakersfield sound and us young in the early 60's ,70's, 80's polish it up with new sounds of Traditional Country Music.Mostly the drum beats and bass lines. Lawton Jiles has his book out about this in it own way. Thanks again Gary and I hope all are supporting TROUT'S for Rockwell and US. Uncle Leo J Eiffert Jr. from doing the Academy Of Country Music - head Security leader - " Icon Super Star " song.

Trout's is a night club located in Oildale, CA, close to Bakersfield. I understand it is still going with live musicians, no Kareoke or DJ.
