What am I missing? I can easily get a 1/2 tone raise and 1/2 tone lower on string 2, but when I try to get a D#<D<C#, I can't get the 1/2 tone raise. Once I allow enough slack for the full step lower, there's too much slack to get the 1/2 tone raise.

Any help is much appreciated. The only other strings that share this KL are 1 and 7; 1 being a full tone raise and 7 being a 1/2 tone raise. I have searched the forum, but nothing specific to answer my question.

Am I limited to a 1/2 tone raise and lower on string 2?

Thanks for any answers!

You need to add more travel to the knee lever that raises the 2nd string a half tone

that's a lot of stuff going on for that lever, but i think you may have to increase the lever stop distance.
i would get the adjustments happening for the 2nd string, then incorporate the 1 and 7 around that.

That makes sense! Back to the undercarriage. I'll come up for air in a bit and let you know how things "travel"! Shocked

Heck, it's cold, wet with a chance of snow; maybe I'll get it setup and get to play here in a bit! Laughing

Thanks for your help!

I agree with Chris, it's going to take a bunch of travel and slack to make those pulls.

How are you going to handle the half stop on the lower?

Please Let us know how it turns out!

Everything worked out perfect!!! I already had the half stop for D#<D<C#, fortunately. I just loosened the collars on strings 1 & 7 and increased the travel on the KL. Then I reset the collars on strings 1 & 7. Everything times out perfect. The travel on 1 & 7 didn't change. I just needed the travel for string 2 on the KL to get the full step lower and the 1/2 step raise. Now I can go play!

Thanks guys! I'll admit, I was having a little frustration building! I was overlooking the obvious, but it wasn't obvious to me at the time! Tunnel vision and thought aren't good.
