My mom took lessons at Murphy's music and then from Walter and Mildred Wright in the 40's and 50's and she was wondering if there were others out there who maybe had pictures from performances. Joy Cox was her maiden name.

UPDATE: My mom's 75th birthday is coming up and she wanted me to see if I could try again to find anyone from that area who might have pictures.

I ran around with a kid in Bartlesville who played the PSG in High School in the early 60's His name was Leroy McDonald. His dad had a parts store in B'ville.

So was the BBD for real, or just song lyrics?

Dustin, I did get in touch with Leroy a year or so ago. Can't remember where he is living but said he didn't play the steel anymore. I have a phone no. for him if you need to get in touch.

My mom said she didn't recognize the name. She was done playing by then. Its too bad she hadn't kept up on E-harp. Not many players left of that instrument.
