I don't think I've seen a more beautiful, understated guitar as this ('Whoa!') If I go blind tomorrow, this will be the mental picture I conjure up whenever I think pedal steel. If only I had the money....
And if it sounds like it looks... someone will get a beauty!
Good luck with the sale.

I was informed that Gary will not sell you parts for additional pedals or knee levers for this guitar, so it is 3+4, you can always have Jim Palenscar or Jeff Surratt make extra knee levers if you really want it, but I am selling this guitar to move to more customer friendly company, like Mullen or BMI, where I can buy parts if needed...

Of the steel guitar builders with whom I have become acquainted,in thirty-seven years of buying, trading, and learning, to play steel; i would say that Gary Rittenberry is at the top of my list in craftsmanship, customer care/service, and just being great person to deal with.

Just looking through some old posts and I ran across these comments. I must totally agree with Skip's comments as Gary Rittenberry is a fantastic builder and goes out of his way to assist anyone who owns one of his guitars...even when they aren't the original owners. This view is shared by anyone who has spoken with or had the opportunity to deal with Gary. He is a class act and a walking encyclopedia of steel guitars!!!

It's finally time for me to jump in here about this. This has been misinterpreted and I feel that Gary is getting bad press.

The story behind this guitar is that it was built at a bare minimum of expense for a good friend of his. The configuration was all that the player wanted at the time and Gary built that guitar so that expansion was not an option to cut down on the costs. The reason he won't sell parts for this particular guitar is because of the way that it was constructed and expansion is not possible without huge expense to rebuild a good part of the undercarriage to add more cross shafts.

From what I know about Gary, there is not a person that he would not help with one of his guitars if the owner bought it new or used.

I hope that this clears up this misunderstanding.

Exactly what Mark said!!!!! Gary is a great builder who stands behind his work. I also took it as a negative reflection of Gary's integrity and I know from personal experience Gary's dedication to anything he has built. If he denied parts for this particular guitar there was a reason as Mark articulated.
