Being an old beginner to "dobro" world, have asked some questions on the Forum here, and had good encouragement from Mark Eaton and others commenting. Smile ...
Result is I purchased a very nice used Gold Tone PBS from Forum member. Encountered some rattle and buzz upon changing strings, so took it to a local Luthier of many years experience and has own bluegrass band. ...
He found that there were 3 loose screws was all that was wrong. Did a professional set up on it, and offhand commented about how great & loud this Gold Tone is with great tone. Says inside it is very high quality workmanship, and agrees that the Gold Tone is probably the best of the imports. Very Happy ...
