Man, that sounds good. That intro, though simple enough on paper and in terms of grips, is pretty interesting and a little tricky to get the vibe right, give it wings. Looking forward to this!

Sounds good to me William.
I do not know how you get those long slides to sustain so evenly. Why don't you talk about how you do that Saturday?

Looking forward to Saturday, William. This is a good song to learn.

Any body else have trouble clearing the C pedal when moving from a closed B-C position to a B-E lever combination?

The C pedal on my steel raises when I shift that LR lever.

I feel for you Dan; that's a tough ankle twist. I like my Sho~Bud with the E lever on the right knee left. Much easier!

George, Do you also have the F raise on the right side?

It is a bit tricky. I can slide over the B pedal with this one pair of black cowboy boots I got ( part of the secret to boot blocking! Laughing ) but I have to completely clear the C pedal since it raises about 1/2 inch when I start to hit that E lever. I've messed with pedal heights but to readjust what is otherwise an ideal set-up for one move doesn't make the cut. I usually wind up doing something in another position in these situations, but I'll keep working it, see if I can get it as shown.

Hey Dan,
I have the lower on my right left and the raise on the left left. This was the Sho~Bud arrangement back in the 1970's, I think.

Thanks! One day either an old 'Bud or Clark will be in my arsenal, probably about the time I get to learning one of these project tunes complete!

Well this is a hell of a song to turn inside out. Much appreciated, William.

With this one I think I'll be able to work out Lloyd Green's advice and learn these parts at several different areas of the board. Simple, but great melody lines.

Daniel, I haven't had a chance to do yesterdays broadcast but have played through the tab. On first glance it looked like it went from pedals BC to pedal/leverBD. If your E lower is on LKR it would be like walking forward and backwards at the same time. Looking at it a second time, it is actually. BC, B, BD. You can rock off of the C pedal and then engage the LKR, which is do able with human legs. I would think that C pedal coming up would not be a problem if you do it this way. I hope this is of some help. Howard

I think you're right. I went over something similar with William during a Skype session about a year ago, resolving movement off the BC combination to something, and hearing the intro again , there is that little stepping stone to make that movement over to the B-LKR move.
Thanks!

Hey Dan,
You were busy boot blockin' when you first tried it. Try it again with your boot off.

Razz

The boot stays!

Hmmm, Maybe I need another pedal. Franklin's got a pedal, maybe I should get one to do this for me.

Looks like tech problems are solved with the live broadcast today. No buffering today just a whole lot of teaching. Master Tech William has solved another problem!
