Yes,

it's the same amp, they just squeezed things together to fit in the smaller chassis and also the smaller, Peavey Pacer cabinet. Here's a little story on the LTD that I threw together years ago:

And, repeating information that has been on here a dozen times at least, the Peavey LTD is not in any way similar to the later Peavey Session Limited.

Brad,

I had not long began my 'tenure' at Scottys when
the Pacer got 'hot-rodded' into the 'LTD-to-be'.

The amp actually belonged to guitarist Jim Bryan,
who worked at Scottys as the guitar repair guy,
purchasing agent and occasional lesson teacher.

It was Jims idea to 'highly mod' the Pacer. Jim had heard
tell of Red Rhodes, in the past, doing similar rebuilds to
other amps.

Jim had brought his idea to Scottys electronic repairman and
guitar teacher Bob Mason, who (re)designed the circuitry and
the logistics involved and executed the electronic work, while
Jim concentrated on the aspects of cramming the 15" speaker
into the 12" cabinet along with the redesigned circuitry and
reverb pan !

Thanks Ken.

This has been SO confusing over the years. The later, '80s Session 400 Limited was a totally other animal and nowhere near as special.
