On May 20th, 2013, I rec'd an email from Eddie "C"... He had posed several questions to JERRY and JERRY as always responded.

Eddie noticed how neat and legible Jerry's handwriting was during the late 1990's....... however by Sept. 2004, it had diminished to little more than squiggly or shaky scribbles.

Eddie's first question was: "How did you discover the 'sound' of the old Volu-Tone amp and why didn't you use GIBSON, Rickenbacher or National that were available at that time?"

Jerry's response was: "I learned that Dick McIntire used one and I like the tone".

Eddie once again: "Back when you were working with Red Foley on the Grand Ole Opry, Did you use your Volu-Tone amp on the radio broadcast?"

Jerry's response was: "No, not possible then".

Eddie once again: "When you were on the road working did you use the volu-tone on stage or a newer, more powerful amp.

Jerry responded: "A newer, more powerful amp".

Eddie next asked: "Did you on a couple of occasions on the Opry use a different guitar than the Rickenbacher? (On a couple of broadcasts I thought the steel sounded a little different".

Jerry responded with a "YES"..........

Just tho't some of you would find Jerry's responses to be most interesting.
Very Happy
