I'm selling my complete PSG system as a package. I always loved the sound of a steel and after I retired, purchased everything and the books needed to learn the instrument. The unit was purchased new in mid 2007 along with the accessories and books (DVDs and CDs). I have now turned 82 years young and have decided to sell my system. The instrument has occupied a place of honor in my music room. It is in perfect condition and has had loving care. All that is needed to play are finger picks (not included).
System includes:
*Carter S-10 Serial Number: 00657164-10 "3 pedal 5 Knee levers" Walnut finish, upgraded with a George L's Pickup. *Peavey Nashville 112 80W Amplifier/Speaker. *Goodrich 120 Pedal with Dunlop type J pot. *Peterson Strobe Tuner w/clip-on. * Guitar Steel and PSG adjusting tool in clip-on holder. *George L's cables for complete setup. *Tom Bradshaw TAB RACK. *QUICK LOK Adjustable Bench Seat. *Spare Dunlop Type J pot for Goodrich 120 Pedal. *Guitar Cover. *Carrying Case for Carter S-10. *Owners manual for S-10. *Smart Start DVD for Carter Steel Guitar. *Peavey Now DVD.
Jeff Newman Lesson Books, DVDs & CDs:
*Pedal Steel Guitar Techniques Book w/DVDs & CDs *Right Hand Alpha DVD & CD *Just Play the Melody Book w/DVD & CD *The Chord Connection (Study of Seventh Chords) *The Minor Chord Connection (Part One & Two) w/DVDs & CD *Give Me An Intro (Part One & Two) Book w/DVD & CD *Just Jammin Book w/CDs *E9th Chord Dictionary DVD. Firm Price for System is $2600. I will pay for shipping & insurance to any of the lower 48 states.

Looks like 4 raises and 2 lowers, wasn't that some special issue Carter?
Normally would be 3 raises and 3 lowers, I know I've read about this particular model somewhere.
Good price for a lot of stuff, best wishes on the sale. I hate having to look at eye candy and not be able to buy it. |

Hi DG,
Actually there are 3 pedals and 5 Levers.
The three pedals all raise, two of the levers raise while three of the levers lower.
This is a standard Setup as I ordered nothing special when I bought the instrument from Carter.
Thanks for your interest.

I think he's talking about on the changer: 4 up and 2 down.

Many of the later Carters were 4 up 2 down. Not at all unusual.
Nice looking setup. |

Ken, thanks for the update. I had always thought it was 3/3 unless otherwise noted, my bad.
Best wishes again on your sale John. |

"Complete System" indeed. That is a "screamin' deal." Someone will be well and fully outfitted with your gear, all first-class While sad that you've decided to part with it, won't it be nice to see the smile on the face of the next owner. |
