The snowiest 17 day period in Boston history has given me some time to dig into learning how to use Guitar Pro. Here's my arrangement of the jazz standard "Angel Eyes" in C6th/A7 tuning. The tune has a real bluesy, "we're down on the New Orleans docks" kind of feel. There are many versions on Youtube. Jim Hall's is my all-time favorite. The audio is electronic (for now) as my playing of it is not quite ready for prime time.

Andy, which version of Guitar Pro are you using? I used version 4 for years until they went out of business. Then the new owners came in with Version 6 which was completely different and had a steep learning curve. They recently reissued Version 4 which is a free download if you're a registered user. I now have both versions but I'm pretty much settled in with using Version 6 which is easier for setting up custom tunings for the lap steel and banjo.

I know what you mean about New England snow. I lived in Massachusetts for 51 years and those snowstorms are why I moved to Tennessee.

GP 6. Amazon had it on special for about $33,bucks. I used to use the free app Tux Guitar but it doesn't work for the latest version of Apple OS.

Speaking of the Massachusetts winter, this is the third Monday in a row I had to cancel all 12 of my Monday guitar students. Last week it was Tuesday and Saturday too. There's not much we can do about it. The snow keeps coming down. Oh Well

That's how it was for us in Philly last winter....December and possibly January if I remember correctly. Snow, snow and more snow. UGH!

Then it turned out to be the longest sustained cold snap that anyone could remember around here.

Glad it's not us getting our butts kicked this time. You have my sympathies.

Time to move to San Diego County.
