BEWARE ----- I had the unfortunate luck of owning this guitar long enough to unpack it, set it up, and test it only to find out that one pedal and one knee lever did absolutely nothing, the 20 tuning keys could not be turned (I got a serious case of gate-keepers thumb), and it needed a complete set-up. It was represented as in fine condition and needing no work.
I had to turn to my credit card to get relief and now it's back on ebay again and has a bid.
BEWARE!!!

That's a SKH too, looks like all it needs is some TLC. If you could buy it fairly cheap would be a good deal. _________________ Henry Matthews

anyone with even a simple basic knowledge of pedal steels would know that tuners get stiff. especially sperzels. and a pedal and lever not working was most likely a very simple remedy.
sometimes you have to be a little smart to get a good deal. |

With all those "extra" parts, it's not a big surprise that a couple of things " did nothing" .... |

Yes it sure is over. That was fast. I hope the buyer either knows how to work on it or maybe the seller got it fixed by somebody? |

I had a similar Legrand for a while, nice guitar, it was very easy to work on. Ebay is always a gamble and these are not new guitars. I would imagine anyone buying a 30 year old guitar would take that into consideration when making such a purchase. _________________ Ralph. Mooney. |

you've gotta know a little about steels to be a good steel flipper. |

That is a great price ! If the guy who bought it knows anything about how to set up a pedalsteel he might have gotten a heck of a deal.
Is the winning bidder on the forum ? It would be cool to hear from him. _________________ Bob |

Agreed, that was a pretty sweet deal. I am not at all surprised that some levers didn't work, as the seller says as much, and the c6 changer looks barren, and it comes with a bunch of bell cranks and rods. While searching the ended auctions, I also noticed someone got an S10 PP for 1700 I like seeing people find good deals on gear they will (hopefully) cherish. |

Short Key Head. A short-lived version of the LeGrande. Extra-compact body with keys so close together many found them hard to turn. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

Tom, they also had a different changer than the regular LeGrand which I thought was better and more sturdy that the cut tail changers. It was basically a love hate guitar. Most loved them but some hated them. I think they play and sound great. _________________ Henry Matthews
