Once again , I'm impressed with how much steel there is in Nashville on Monday night. This past Monday , I got to spend a lot of time with Paul and the Time Jumpers ,,, Also Sage Benado was there ,(helped me crash the Gibson party) and we had Paul compare several of these reverb units ... Seems like Paul never gets tired of taking time to explain how the reverbs work , and how he does some of the things in studios around town, etc. I had my 2nd Benado reverb with me , and he compared the controls etc, & spent time demo-ing the way to set it ... So nice to talk with someone who is a pro , and doesn't keep looking over your shoulder for the next "important" person to talk with him. Sage and Paul really have a handle on the reverbs.
Not to forget about the other guys in town ,,Doug Jernigan @ the Station Inn ,,, Carl Jackson, Val Story, Larry Cordle , Aubrey Haynie , don't know the drummer & bassist.
On Broadway, Eddie Lange , Eddie Dunlap, and I think Tommy White too. So many to catch up with !! JF |

Hard to say ,,, so far I won't part with the steel dream , but to record ,,,I think the adverb is good . ... Paul has these things worked out ... can't argue with what he says about studio stuff. |

I ran into Tommy White and Eddie Lange this past Friday along with Chris Scruggs, all who were playing downtown. Although we were down for the SPBGMA bluegrass event, I wanted to catch some good ol country with steel. Sure glad I ventured out |

Spending time with the "biggies" isn't what most of us get to do. You can do it being a guitar builder. |

The Adverb Reverb stand alone pedal talked about here, is the same Reverb on the
PF-Steel Dream pedalboard. The only difference between the two, the stand alone unit was designed to suit more the guitar players rather than the Steel players. Therefor there is more modulation option in it rather than the one on the PF-Steel Dream. All of you that own the PF-Steel Dream unit, the Adverb reverb (or some of you it might say Steel Verb), has a Boost switch. It is the same as the Shimmer stompswitch that appears on the Adverb stand alone unit shown on the picture. That Stompswitch is dedicated for the shimmer option (the "Chorus" like effect). Now, this unit shown here was modified by me to cut the "Chorus" effect a little so it will sound more like the Adverb on the PF- Steel Dream, and it is. Billy, you mentioned your unit says Steel Verb, some of the early units had the slik screen says Steel Verb, but it is the same Reverb as the Adverb that it is on all of them. |
