Just make sure you act like a gentleman.
It's a single with a bolt-on changer and aluminum neck. The serial number is 1037 S.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

The bolt-ons were only made for a very short while... was it '66? It may have only been one year.
from some Buddy commentary on the subject:
Quote: |
The wrap-around neck on the original guitars was replaced with the bolt-on design some time in the mid sixties. That change was short lived because the bridge was bolted to the neck, which defeated the purpose of the independent wrap-around design. By the end of 1967, Ron went back to the wrap-around neck with a cutout in the tail end. This cut-tail design has remained the standard for all Emmons guitars. |

edited to add: wood-necked p/ps all have bolt-on changers... other than that it seems like 67 was the end of the line, at least for aluminum necked guitars.
Someone mentioned a while back that the sales records are not as well-kept for the S10s, so you might have a harder time dating this particular one... glad to see you finally got your push-pull itch scratched...[This message was edited by Nicholas Dedring on 23 April 2004 at 10:57 AM.] |

It is neither flat nor fat. It is indented. [This message was edited by Lawrence Lupkin on 23 April 2004 at 11:03 AM.] |

Thanks Nicholas. It's a goodun' too. Just got it cleaned up. Sure has a wonderful tone. Maybe it's because it's black.

I have SN."1002 D".It is a "wraparound". Possibly the last one made of this type.It should be a bolt on by all reports, but it's not.

(I asking the experts here)
Doesn't a "non-FatBack" rear apron indicate mid 70s or later?

"Fat Backs" or non-cut up rear aprons, were built along with some "cut backs" from late '70 till late '73. Either could be ordered during this period of time.

It was my impression that bolt ons were only made in '66 or '67. Am I misguided? |

People have been telling me that for years Howard.
I tell you this baby sounds great I left it at 4 + 4 and the tone is to die for. A little TLC was all it needed. |

Still looking for that elusive date. Hey, I thought the people on the forum knew everything! Man, this is almost as disappointing as finding out that Santa Claus doesn't exist.
