Just wanted to let you know that Leona did a spectacular show for us in Phoenix at the SWSGA. It was her first appearance on our show, and I just talked to her about coming next year. What a gracious lady who sings so well....Leona is so nice, too..
If you get a chance to catch her show, you will not be disappointed!
Thanks Leona!

I totally agree...I have told a lot of folks that I think her show was the highlight for me ! She just knocked me out with her singing, stories, songs, presentation, the whole package ! And Russ Hicks did a fantastic job on the steel during her set.
I hope she can return next year !

Absolutely...her set was a highlight for me. And Russ played beautifully behind her. One of my favorites of the whole weekend.

She's from Missouri, a lot of talent here in the Sho Me state. Leona is a great friend and a wonderful person. I never tire of hearing and watching her perform. What a professional.

Leona if from Varonia, MO and had a radio show called "Leona Sings" at 15 what a start - then a pretty good gig in Nashville as an up right bass player for Loretta -

Yep I knew that - there is a highway named after her there to - it goes on down to Porter Wagner section and Jan Howard

U R correct

I introduced her at the Phoenix show and brought all this up rather than that one guy that was her husband - she got a kick out of that - but told the "Rest of the Story"

I have had the pleasure of playing steel for Leona on many shows here in Missouri and she is one of the nicest people you could ever meet and to work with.. Her son Ron is also a great singer and a great guy.. Hope to be working with them more this year..
