| I'm still fairly new to volume pedals. How long do pots usually last? And how long does the Dunlop 470K hot pot last? Thinking about getting a stage one pedal... |

I put one in my main Goodrich pedal about 8 months ago, and typically gig twice a week, and a few hours of practice every week, and I have yet to hear a scratch. I wish I could say the same for some of the other pots i've used.

I put one in a friend's volume pedal around 5 years ago. Still going strong and he plays on a very regular basis. None of the other pots currently available are likely to last anywhere near that time.

They say (a million swipes) I have never had a problem in 2 years with the one I put in. I was eating through the Goodrich ones very often.
Ebay has them listed.

The Dunlop pot is a sales killer. By that I mean that the pot seems to last forever. That's too long and kills repeat sales! I've been selling them since 2006 and I'll bet only about 5 customers have actually worn out theirs....and I've shipped over 3500 of them during that time. I just found too good of a product. Woe is me; woe is me.  But my customers are happy.  ...Tom |

| Bought several from Tom at least 8 years ago.... no trouble at all in any of the pedals I've used them in. Get some if you use pot pedals. Always great service and products from Mr. Bradshaw. |

I have used them for several years now in my Emmons pedal and for all of my repairs. I had one that was scratchy right out of the box and Tom replaced it for free. Great product and great service. They are slightly different from the old Allen Bradley pots but you will adjust to it quickly and never notice it. Tom sends great instructions on how to wire it up to your pedal too!

To my ears , they have a little less presence in the output than an AB, and a slight loss of gain in comparison.. Not thrilled with the taper, but its NOT objectionable by any means.. Just a little different..
These are NOT major concerns, and their reliability overshadows any downside by far.. I do like the sound and taper of a good AB style pot a little better, but the Dunlop pots are far more reliable.. Any loss of gain or clarity in the Dunlop pot is easily compensated for with amp settings..
I would not buy another modern AB style pot unless it was well documented on these pages that the pots were now reliable and would not go bad in 3 months... bob

And I am ONE HAPPY CUSTOMER. I have had one of the Dunlop pots, in my volume pedal, For about two years now. And it hasn't quit on me yet. And Tom, is a GREAT GUY to deal with. I can't stop singing the praises, for such a GREAT PRODUCT.
