Just got three CD’s from Randy the other day, and wanted to let you all know how good they are...I’ve listened to little else since getting them...IMHO, this is some of the finest playing arranging and composing I think I’ve ever heard...Randy’s rendition of Beyond the Sunset, from the CD, The Unspoken Word is incredible...the last 30 seconds of it are stellar...I’d die a happy man being able to just play that last 30 seconds.

From what I understand, Randy is a genius at playing C6th on the E9th neck, so much so, that I can’t always tell if its C6th or E9th, unless he throws some obvious E9th things in amongst the jazz he’s playing...What a mind this man has.

The 3 CD’s I got were,
The Unspoken Word
The Next Step, and
A Few Of My Favorite Things.

I couldn’t find much on the Web so just PM’d him here so that I could get these...If you don’t have any Randy Beaver’s in your collection, I highly, enthusiastically suggest you do...you will not be disappointed.

Dale, I met Randy a few short years ago at the Dallas convention and what a nice guy. Randy is a premier player and is good as it can be. We haven't heard to much of him in a while and I am not sure if he is still working with LeeAnn Womack.
I hope that Randy can jump in and
let us hear from him some time. I have his cd's and they are all good.
OK Randy, we want to hear from you..........

I have been a HUGE fan of Randy's ever since I heard him back when he was with Larry Boone. I think he played on Larry's first 3 albums. I bought his "Way Without Words" album right when it come out. I literally wore that cassette out. I was able to buy another cassette over at Bobbe Seymour's store a few years ago. I now have a cd of it. Randy is definitely top notch.

Dale & Dean,

Thanx for the heads up on Randy's CDs. I had the good fortune of seeing him in Nashville at the TSGA
steel jam in September. Every player there was
top shelf. But to me, Randy's song selection and
delivery were as good as I've ever heard; anywhere
by anyone.
