Wow, looks like this was another tough one. It's the Texas Playboy from their Capitol album "Today". Leon McAuliffe on steel, Smokey Dacus on drums, Al Stricklin on Piano, Joe Ferguson on Bass, Keith Coleman and Johnny Gimble on Fiddles and Bob Kizer on Guitar. A historical line-Up! Smile

I am woefully ignorant of the great non-pedal players. But when I hear some of them, like Joaquin Murphey, I wonder why anyone ever thought we needed pedals at all. Is there any literature that gives a historical perspective on these players with the order of their appearance, who influenced whom, examples of their styles, etc.?
