Hi folks,
If you sometimes have a problem seeing your fretboard onstage or at home, then you might be interested in my illuminated fretboards.
You can see them on my website and obtain a quotation.
Although they are custom-made to your requirements, you'll probably be pleasantly surprised at the price.
The website is www.live-edge-fretboards.co.uk
Best regards,
Richard.

Hi Rene,
Thanks - glad you like it.
I only started production in December, so haven't sent any to Canada yet.
The fretboards are all made-to-order, but the typical price is 110 UK pounds excluding shipping, with good discount if you buy more than one.
The illuminated fretboard sits on top of you guitar's fretboard and does not need any modifications to your guitar.
The scale-length and the widths/taper are made specifically to your requirements, and you can decide whether you want the cable to be at the front or at the rear of the fretboard.
It is available in 5 colours.
Anyhoo...If you go onto my website's How to Order page you'll be able to key in some sizes from your guitar and obtain a quote.
Best regards,
Richard. |

Hi Dennis,
Good question ..... I'll see about getting a short video onto YouTube within the next few days so you can see how it looks before and after fitting.
Cheers for now.

Hi Richard,
Yes, that sounds about right.
The cost of shipping by UPS from Scotland adds around 38 dollars.
Shipping is free to customers who buy 2 or more.
Thanks for your kind comment - much appreciated!
Cheers for now,
Richard. |

These look great.
Just historically curious: didn't MSA announce a product like this a year or two ago? Was it never released? _________________ E9 INSTRUCTION

John, believe the built into neck ones are available on new guitars from factory, but don't believe the retro fit ones are available yet, think this may be due to Kyle being off work for a considerable time after falling and injuring his shoulder, perhaps Kyle can update. _________________ MSA Millenium SD10, GK MB200, Sica 12inch cab, Joyo American Sound Pedal/ Jay Ganz Straight Ahead amp, Telonics 15inch in Peavey cab, Digitech RP150, Peterson tuner.Hilton volume pedal.Scott Dixon seat and guitar flight case. |

Hey....will you be at the Dallas Ft Worth show or have some of these there to purchase? I believe they will sell very fast if you do. Can we order by make of guitar? I play a Carter SD-10 and I believe they are all the same specs no matter what year it is. And when will you have just a plain white led available soon?
Thanks |

Hi David,
Thanks for your interest.
The plain white/clear version is almost ready and should be available end Feb.
You asked a good question regarding a standardised fretboard, but I'd have to drastically reduce the range of options in order to do this.
Just now I offer 5 different colours (excluding white) plus the choice of having the cable at the front or the rear of the guitar, making 10 possible configurations.
I suppose if the colours were limited to one or two instead of five then I could offer an "off the shelf" fretboard to suit a range of guitar makes.
Delivery is currently only 2 weeks, so there's no real reason to reduce the range at present, but it's definitely something I'll keep in mind.
I had hoped to attend the Dallas show, but sadly I won't manage this year.
Best regards,
Richard. |

Those are very cool indeed, although $200 is very expensive. Until I can afford one here is what I use and it works rather well. A small led torch (british) or flashlight mounted on key head $2.50 plus tax

Brian, the MSA retro fit one is around $340, it is a different style of construction. _________________ MSA Millenium SD10, GK MB200, Sica 12inch cab, Joyo American Sound Pedal/ Jay Ganz Straight Ahead amp, Telonics 15inch in Peavey cab, Digitech RP150, Peterson tuner.Hilton volume pedal.Scott Dixon seat and guitar flight case. |
