Hi everyone I just picked up my Sho-Bud LDG
from Bobbe Seymore Steel Guitar Nashville and all I can say is WOW!!!!!!!!
The guitar was bought by me from a guy in Indiana on E-bay (I Know BAD IDEA). It looked good in photos but being I am a complete Novice I did not know what questions to ask or what to look for or anything. Long and short of it I got Bamboozled. The guy took all of the parts I mean ALL the original Sho Bud under carriage parts and put some totaly off the wall other parts on it. Bobbe took the guitar which had major cosmetic damage to it as well (Aluminum beat up ,Finish bad ,Worn and missing parts etc. Basically he built a ShoBud LDG all over again. It sounds GREAT at least when some one else plays it I am a rookie you know but a very excited one now.
Bottom line if you are thinking about taking your Steel in for repair or a complete Refurbishing you will not find anyone more Honest and Sincere in what he is doing then Bobbe Seymore. Check out his site at http://www.steelguitar.net/ you will not be dissapointed.
I would love to post some photos on the Forumn but I can't figure out how to do it.
I have some great digital photos of my new Steel. If anyone can tell me how to upload these to this website please let me know.
I would love to show her to everyone.
If you take your instrument to Steel Guitar Nashville Make sure you tell Bobbe that Wendell sent you.

Thanks Lem for posting the photos of my Steel. In the process of putting my photos of the guitar on CD before Bobbe refurbished it I accidently erased all of my photos of it when it was green.
Now I have a couple of photos of before.
Thanks I Appreciate it.
God Bless

Mr. Fields,
You are more than welcome. That's a very nice looking guitar! Also, I'll forward you the email that Reggie sent to me. It has six pictures of your guitar in it.
My best to you,

Yes, Lloyd Blue is one of my favorite players. Seriously, this was a major restoration, all new changer, fingers, tail piece, bellcranks, rods, screws, cross shafts, pickup, rollers, fretboard, decals, as a matter of fact, all I used from the original guitar were the end castings, body, pedal board and keyhead. All the bad, modified and non-original parts were replaced with new original Sho-Bud stock parts. This guitar is beautiful and sounds great, like it should. I need to thank my store staff for the extra love they put into this guitar. I didn't have to use the whip at all. Danny Bently and Vic Lawson are the great employees that also deserve great credit on this project.

Just think of this guitar with Gold Grover tuning keys, Wendell, we should have done it! That would have been the frosting on the cake.

Nice restoration!
One question:
In one of the "before" pix I'm seeing a Sho~Bud logo that I've never noticed before. Is that an early version? I thought they used their classic cursive "S" logo from the beginning... |

Greg, no the logo was just standard "store bought" letters, stuck on the front. Just like the rest of the guitar when Wendell purchased it, it was "close, but no cigar". Actually, it wasn't even close, but it is now, I'd love to be the owner of this guitar myself. It's a great playing and sounding guitar, just like Sho-Bud manufactured it. No more no less, except for the color, which is Wendell's choice, and a good one! |

Hey guys, Help!. I'm looking for a older big body ShoBud, double lower, double raise, to restore and keep for my personal collection, this guitar will be totally restored so condition isn't that important, but I'd like for it to be original and "all there". A pro II, or even better possibly, a Pro III. E-mail me if one turns up. I want to refinish it sunburst, four knees and gold keys. HELP!!!!!

I wish I could have done that as well Bobbe It would have looked awesome. Maybe at a later date I can afford some to put on it.
Bobbe drop me a E-mail on how much those Gold Tuners would cost.
Thanks

Bobbe this face lift is beautiful to say the least . When i first saw it at my show back in January i knew it would have to have ''major'' work to bring it back . This
was a '' minor miracle ''. Wow what a great looking guitar . You have a keeper Wendell. Regards,,,Gary . |
