I replied to the topic of Tater's hospitalization about Gene Watson keeping us informed on his facebook page about his condition. I scrolled down on his page and he had put Pretty Paper on right at Christmas. Its a little late, but the singing is Standard Gene Watson and some beautiful steel work. Didn't find a credit, but may be Mr. Green. Im sure someone will know. Its well worth a listen.

There was a Christmas compilation cd released in 2006 called "Still Believing In Christmas". "Pretty Paper" by Gene Watson is the 2nd track on the cd. The 3 steel players listed in the credits are Dan Dugmore; Lloyd Green and Scotty Sanders.
Dan Dugmore - Tracks 1,3,4,6,7 & 9
Lloyd Green - Tracks 2,10,12,13 & 15
Scotty Sanders - Tracks 5 & 11
Lloyd did the steel work on Pretty Paper.
I bought this cd strictly because Gene Watson had a song on it. I have never heard of another Christmas song recorded by him. _________________ Rebel |

That song can be found on this 2013 cd. This is all old material originally done back in the '70's. George Jones never released a Christmas album so this is the first time his Christmas material has appeared on a cd. He does tracks 2, 3, 5, 7, 9(Silver Bells), 11 and 13.
Tracks 1 and 16 are George and Tammy duets and the remaining tracks are from Tammys' 1970 Christmas lp. _________________ Rebel |
