Where on the C6 neck (string and fret) is most commonly used for the II V I in the key of C found? Assuming the II is Dm7 (DFAC)the V is G7 (GBDF) and I CMaj7 (CEGB).
I can't figure it out. |

Billy,
Try hangin' around the 5th fret, with the II chord rooted on the 8th string, then press your 5th pedal and root it on the 10th string.
Then move up to the 7th fret and root the I chord on the 9th string. You can have the dominant I chord by using your 6th pedal, or the Major seventh version by using no pedals at all.

Well on the C neck, Amin7 is part of C6. Strings 8, 7, 6 and 5. Also strings 4, 3, 2 and 1 (G on Top). So the 5th fret would be Dmin7 then using those strings. GBDF can be obtained with pedals 6 and 7 at the 0, 12th and 24th fret, strings 2, 3, 4 and 5.
Cmaj7 is available at the 0 fret, strings 7, 6, 5 and 4 with either pedal 4 or pedal 7. Or 7, 6, 5 and 3 with the knee lever lowering the 3rd string. Another one is at the 7th fret strings 9, 8, 7, and 6 no pedals.
Also, another Dmin7 can be had at fret 2 with the 6th pedal, strings 7, 6, 5 and 4.
G7 is also at the 2nd fret with the 6th pedal, strings 9, 8, 7 and 6.

Depending on the voicings, with a standard C6th, you can also do a 2-5-1 on the 8th fret. Start with pedal 5 on the 8th fret (2 minor), then pedals 5 and 6 on the 8th fret (V7), then resolve on the 7th fret without pedals. When I'm playing quick 2-5-1's, I use this position a lot.But remember it's only for certain voicings.
Best of luck.
