New pickups turned this Chandler H-2 into an amazing blues and rock instrument.
A Duncan Lil`59 strat size PAF just behind the 24th fret and a Duncan Stack P90 at the bridge..

Olli, I had thought about doing that same thing to a Chandler… as is I think they're a really fine Hawaiian guitar, with the nice ergonomic playing feel they have, I bet your mod is the bee's knees. I'm a big fan of two pickups on laps.

Pretty sweet alteration to your Chandler....I bet she really growls now.

I'm a big fan of 2 pick-ups too.....especially if they are noticeably different from each other.

The PAF (of sorts) in the neck is definitely "in search of the Trucks-vibe" thing.
Pretty succesful, too Smile

I'm looking at a used RH2 as a starter lap steel. I guess it might be a decent platform for mods later on - better pickup, palm levers perhaps?

The only other things around where I live (Perth, Western Australia) without spending beyond my budget are the Gretsches. Is the Chandler a better bet?
