Received my new Lil Izzy today and gave it a try, works great, definitely warms up the sound and actually helped my single coil hum be less noticeable , thanks to Craig Baker for a great product! _________________ Mullen SD -10 Pre RP, Zum Encore, Quilter Overdrive 200, Quilter Frontliner 2 x 8, Nashville 112, Nashville 1000 , Stereo Chorus 212, Marshall , etc.....- more four five six and 8 strings than I can count, and a border collie..... |

Message Craig. They're under 140,but I don't remember the exact price. They're wonderful. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

I think they are around 130 bucks, but I may off a little. You will be amazed at the clear, clean note and string separation. Jack |

I use pot, but even those with active pedals notice a difference. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

Thank you for the nice compliments. Li'l Izzy is still priced at $139.95. If you will send me an email I will forward complete information about Li'l Izzy along with a PayPal invoice if you'd like.
As always, we promise to buy your Li'l Izzy back if you're not delighted. Again, thank you for your comments.
Best wishes for the new year.

Hi Craig,
Received my Li'l Izzy a few days ago and wanted to let you know I agree with everyone about how your Li'l Izzy has cleaned up the lows and mids and the string seperation is very clean now. Thank you for making a great product I am looking forward to getting many years of enjoyment using it.
Thank You

FWIW after seeing some of these Li'l Izzy posts a very small light bulb went off in my head "hey I used to use one of those" and after a brief search I found my Izzy and an Armstrong Orange Squeezer in a drawer of old unused stuff.
My first question was wondering if I had enough sense way back in the 70's to remove the battery before I retired it so I removed the screws and discovered no battery or corrosion but also a broken ground wire to the battery hook up. After a few minutes with a soldering iron and a fresh battery I am happy to report it seems to work just fine. Hard to give a accurate report as I am at our Carolina beach house at the moment and all I have to play it through is an ancient Gibson Skylark amp with an 8" speaker but thinking I will be using it going forward with my regular rig.
One question for Craig, mine says Izzy Plus on it and has a very small adjustable pot on the inside, what is that about and how should I adjust it?
Thanks, Jay |

It's a gain knob. All the way down, it's at unity.
All the way up, you have 24dB of clean gain.
Plus includes a gain stage.
When I ran a Session 500 with a working volume pedal loop, when I wanted overdrive, I'd dime the Plus and saturate the snot out of the input. One of the best fuzztones I've ever used. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

Hi Jay,
Welcome back to the Li'l Izzy family. Lane pretty well answered your question. He knows more about the Izzy Plus than I do. LOL. Actually, I just found one here and did the same as you; fixed the battery wire, installed a new battery and good to go. I never use any gain. That was from the old days. The gain helped some back when guys began driving noisy effect devices. Today's gadgets are fairly quiet and you don't need the extra gain.
WOW.. . A Carolina beach house, a Gibson Skylark, and an Izzy. As Tony Bennett said. . . "It's The Good Life."
Hope it serves you well for years to come. If it misbehaves, let me know.
All the best.

Thanks Craig and Lane,
So I will check it and make sure the pot is adjusted all the way off for now but may experiment with the overdrive idea at a later date.
Jay
PS Lane, so how many people on this forum do you think know what you mean by 'dime' ?? |
