Did anyone see this show? I am surprised there are no threads about it. Paul Franklin played pedal steel in the backup band and quite audible in the mix as well as visible on stage. He and the guitarist looked to be having a great time playing "Oklahoma Christmas" with Reba and Blake. The sound person actually knew how to mix a steel and Paul got quite a few close up shots.

Paul has had quite a bit of airtime this fall in a variety of performances. I missed the first part of the show, but was glad I got to see some of it and to see Paul featured so prominently.

Jamie, I watched it pretty close at times and they weren't playing some of the stuff. I believe most of that is prerecorded again....and again.....well. Maybe not all but some anyway was prerecorded.

Brett, great eye as usual. I saw he was playing an SD10, which is unusual, but I couldn't tell the manufacturer. I meant to mention that in the initial post, thanks for identifying it.

I never go out of my way to watch Blake. I'll watch anything else.

Assuming Paul was faking it, the Carter SD10 was possibly just a handy prop, since that's nowhere near his usual equipment..

I thought I would watch it to see if my opinion about him would change... Unfortunately I thought what he did to the tradition of Christmas was about the same as he did to the tradition of country music... all his Christmas Special did was confirm my original opinion. And I too thought what we heard and what we saw was fake..... This old farts and jackass team member won't be interested in anything else he has to offer anytime soon. Too bad too he has talent just no class....

PS and why didn't he mention that Miranda was his wife.....

I agree with my friend Floyd Lowery. If Blake Shelton is on it, I probably wont see it. He,s his own biggest fan. He dosen't need me.
