Is there any difference in the gold colored picks and the silver colored, besides color?

Terry, the gold colored picks are usually made of brass instead of nickel and are a slight bit softer metal. They give a slightly more mellow tone. Some guys like them, some don't. Hope this helps.

Jim Bob, thanks. I didn't know that about the tone. I don't like mellow, so I think I'll just go trade mine for the nickle.
that's what I used before, but just bought the gold color this time not knowing there was a difference. thanks again
