I have been playing my very nice Carter S10 at my many classic country gigs, and its a great guitar.. Wonderful sound, sustain, and great playability and tuning stability.. However I once again feel i am "missing something"...
I miss the old wood/lacquer "thing", that is hard to describe.. its a sound and a feeling I know and love, but is hard to put into words. I just want to go back to a stable S10 ALL WOOD - all pull pedal steel. Will also consider a Dekley because although they aren't "real wood", they do tend to sound like it to me. ,Will consider any and all ALL PULL S 10 pedal steel guitars, and will pay a fair price... If its a Sho Bud, I am certainly interested, but ONLY if its tuning stable.. Sorry if I infuriate anyone, but too many buds are NOT good gigging guitars. Many just will not stay in tune.. Many will, and thats the one I want... an S10 MSA Classic maple/lacquer is my first choice... I let my last one get away, and I have missed it terribly ever since.
I have cash in hand , or if you can use a REALLY nice Carter S10 [w/5 and 5!!], maybe we can work a swap.. Either way is fine.. Please , no late model wood body steels. They sound "modern" to me.. Unless you are selling a Jackson, or a maple body/neck Carter then we can talk!.
I am really easy to deal with, and won't haggle over realistic prices... If you have something to sell thats all wood, is an s10, is older, and stays in tune, lets discuss it... No need to respond here, please email me directly.. bob

yes.. I sent him an email a week or so ago, and never got a reply... I made him a great offer to ship it... Never got a reply, and figured it was either sold, or he had no interest in shipping... bob _________________ I'm over the hill and hittin'rocks on the way down!

Bob: Just joined the forum. I may have just what your looking for. MSA Semiclassic S10 w/3 floors and 4 knees and Supersustain pickup. I have more of an interest in finding a double neck console. Might trade or 950 would buy it. Email at fiddlefixer@hotmail.com |

been here for years. i remember you getting rid of that MSA you had for a long time. was it a white one? you probably wore it out. and the pretty red lacquer one you had. and the hassle with the carter. hope you find a decent MSA. |

Bill I have had several MSA steels, and always regret selling them.. My last one was a simply wonderful steel... Green lacquer 5+4... A friend wanted it and I sold it at a loss to him, and bought a Carter. I like the Carter fine, but I just miss the MSA.. Something will pop up... bob _________________ I'm over the hill and hittin'rocks on the way down!
