I was looking at this great steel version of "White Christmas" and a medley of Christmas songs all with tracks tab and video on you tube.

I really like the technique exercises on the video regarding C6 on E9 neck.

Well it all sounded and looked good till he started jazzing up the Christmas songs and then strange things started happening and everything kinda went wrong and I heard this faint weird Ho Ho Ho in the back ground. wow! twilight zone!!

He's watching you!

Hey Stuart, I'm with you and Santa, but until I hear the version you speak of I guess I should keep quiet...btw, I hope we all have a white Christmas, even J.D. and the boys in L.A. Smile

Since you seem to be so close to St. Nicholas, do you have his email address? I would love to write to him and exchange ideas.

I can't say exactly it was Jazz but it was progressive and While I can't play the songs because I don't have permission I can give you a taste of it by just borrowing a little of his chord progression and make my own jazz arrangement of it.
I call my version "I Can't Find Page Eight"

I have to say I've been cheating a bit and looking over Stuart's shoulder at these lessons by William Litaker and I'll have to say I'm impressed.
Willian is way more knowledgeable than he lets on and Stuart and I have the highest regard for William.
So we are laughing with William here not at him.
If you are still learning (I'm still learning) I'd jump on these Saturday live session if I were you.

A good time to get stated would be right away this Wed. Dec. 10th at 3pm east coast time.
William Litaker will have a workshop on "I Just Destroyed The World". Lots of nice stuff in that one. http://www.williamlitaker.com/index.html
Well back to the worksheets so Bo can look over my shoulder and pretend he's not going to steal any of the licks Laughing

Milk and chocolate-chip cookies will make him more agreeable!

I really like the White Christmas version, whether one would consider it jazzed or jazzy.
It's my picture of Christmas morning after gifts have been opened, things have slowed down, thinking about breakfast.
Nice and easy, just like snow.
