I'm thinking of adding the Franklin Pedal to my sd10. My pedals are Emmons set up. Would you recommend putting it as the zero pedal or as pedal 4? I've seen people put in either spot. I know some split the change but I'm not interested in doing that. Thanks. |

I'm thinking of doing the same thing.
Most have advised me to put it in the 4th position. _________________ Jb in Ohio

I would say on Emmons setup, put it in first position, pedal one. On Day setup, put it on 4th pedal. It's just used by its self isn't it?
Ive had it on a couple my guitars and since I play Day, works good on pedal 4. _________________ Henry Matthews

I put it next to C. Makes it 5. P0 raises 1 and 2 _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

I have the Emmons pedals so I have it on the zero pedal.

I put mine on somebody's guitar. Don't need a freeloader on my guitar. Used to have to force my self to use that pedal. _________________ Daniel J. Cormier

I had it in both the zero position and 4th pedal (actually P5 on my guitar, and didn't use it, so I took it off. I ordered Paul's lesson on using the Franklin Pedal, and he uses it a lot with the E to D# lowers. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) . I had it on P0 but was so used to A pedal being there so I moved it to 4th and regret it. I'm thinking about putting it back at P0 because it's a long way from 0 to 4 when you only use it momentarily. |

Mine is at P0, and I lowered the height of the pedal about 3/8". For me, it makes it a lot easier to avoid mashing the Franklin, and accidentally hitting the A pedal. May not work for you, if you run your pedals low already. -Jake- |
