Man; I am going crazy over this. I have an old, unlabeled cassette from over 20 years ago. Got it from an old friend whose number is disconnected, so I can't even call him about it. Got some great country on it by the Cox Family & Allison Krause, and a few unidentified songs, one of which is about the most beautiful song I have ever heard. Got some great steel on it, & sounds like one of those 90s country bands, like Diamond Rio, or T. Graham Brown. I am obsessed with this song, hitting rewind over & over on the cassette player in my work truck. I am desperate to find out the song & the artist so I can get the CD. Almost sounds like something Roy Orbison would have written back in the day, but definitely not him singing. I think the name of the song might be "For a moment there". Here are the words to the chorus:
"Those were the days...those were the nights
We had a love...that comes once in a lifetime
Long as I live...oh what I'd give
Just for a moment there"
Might try to download Shazamm & see if I can identify it that way, although I think it may have to come from the radio to work. |
