Hi All,
Not saying anything new but reminding those who have not seen Paul with the Time Jumpers you simply must if at all possible.
Just caught his show at Third and Lindlsey in Nashville.WOW! We all acknowledge him as one of the best to ever play the instrument but to see and hear him live in a relaxed atmosphere with his band mates/friends (all equally great at there instruments) is simply Paul at his best. Every solo and fill was Paul "going for it". Encouraged by the crowd and band he puts it all out there.
So if you get a chance go see and hear one of the best in a venue that showcases him at his best.
Rick Troyer.

Saw the Time Jumpers show in St Charles, IL just a few weeks back. One of the best shows I've ever seen. Billed as the Time Jumpers Featuring Vince Gill, but Vince wasn't featured any more or less than the rest of the players. He was one of the band, and damn, they were all excellent. As my buddy leaned over and said to me at about the 3rd song: "name the slouch." Not a one.

Paul & Vince played "Together Again," and between Vince's singing & Paul's weepy psg lines, I was absolutely floored.

Paul was playing thru the Benado multipedal into a Little Walter head & 2 Little Walter cabs. Exquisite tone.

If ya have a chance to see the Time Jumpers, take it.

I have front row tickets to see the time jumpers with paul and vince on NOV 20 at the strand capitol here in York, Pa.
Nice intimate environment. Large , yet small enough to feel right there with the group.
Cant wait!

I didn't realize they were touring until I saw this thread. Just ordered my tickets for Alexandria, VA on November 23rd! York is only about 30 minutes further than Alexandria, VA but that is a Thursday night. The girlfriend wouldn't be able to leave work early for us to make it on time so I chose the weekend date.

Can't wait! Very Happy

I got to see them last night in Greenville, TX for the Bob Wills Fiddle Festival.

I've been to a lot of concerts in my life but nothing can compare to the synergy these guys have. It was like listening to a philharmonic orchestra in the way that they were so perfectly in time and each filled with finesse. Ten of the most amazing musicians you'll ever get a chance to see.

Junior is such a modest guy. One of my favorite players.

Here in San Diego, we got a rare treat this last Sunday Night at our Symphony performing arts center... Time Jumpers came in and just slayed it! Vince came out and did an hour by himself before hand in flip flops... real casual... Told stories and just sang his ass off... Paul was playing through a Peavey LTD and sounded not from this planet... So aggressive and so in tune... Knocked me out. Everybody in that band just killed it.. This west coast audience was pretty floored... I know I was! My wife said jokingly ( I think) "that's what that instrument is suppose to sound like?" OUCH!!! Rock on Paul...

My wife & I got to see them last Sat. in Santa Rosa. It was almost like it was Paul Franklin's band - he got to play SO much. Actually of course, they all played as much, but I was so concentrated on seeing what a master can do with pedal steel.
And it is so fun to see them all trade musical bits back & forth. The best band in the world. Period.
Whoa! Very Happy

I saw Paul and the TJ's on Wednesday night in Red Bank New Jersey.
One of the best live shows I have ever seen. Eleven musicians playing completely in sync with one another. Solos galore. Every one of them was a standout.
Said hi to Paul- told him Jack Stanton and I last saw him in person ca. 1981 at the Lone Star. Too long between shows...
Jack saw them in Delaware a few days later and he confirms all I said above.
The venue was full and I was pleasantly surprised to see so many locals enjoying themselves.
Catch them if you can.
