I bought a Profex off Ebay and it arrived today. When I plugged it in the display says Bypassed. Does anyone have an idea about how to switch it back to normal operation? Is there a way to reset to the factory settings? _________________ Emmons PP D10 8X5, GFI Ultra D10,both are setup up "Emmons" style. Unplug the unit from the power supply.
While holding both the Play and Global buttons on the front panel, power up the unit by pluggin in the power supply.
The unit has now been initialized to factory settings. It is recommended that you leave the unit turned onb for at least three hours at this time to ensure the battery has a full charge (assuming it has not been modified). The unit's battery should then last several years before replacement is required. The unit will warn you when the battery is getting low. |

Thanks Roy, that did the trick. I've used these effects for years and just forgot how to restore the factory settings. It's working fine now. _________________ Emmons PP D10 8X5, GFI Ultra D10,both are setup up "Emmons" style. Garry, You can download the owners manual from Peavey. I strongly suggest you take the top off and see if it has the battery and is leaking or corroded.
Fellow forum member Ken Fox has the chip to install instead of batteries, very easy job. Did mine years ago, still going strong. Cheers. |
